The Visitor Centre for Saltaire is located in the Salts Building opposite the end of the church drive in Victoria Road. It is an excellent place to start a visit to Saltaire providing information and details of walks to explore the World Heritage Site
Take a walk around the local village and world Heritage site of Saltaire then have a pleasant lunch in one of the several cafés or wine bar.
St Peter’s Church Shipley

Leeds to Liverpool Canal
Stroll along the Leeds Liverpool Canal to the Bingley Five Rise Locks (about an hour easy walking) and return to Saltaire by the frequent train service from Bingley.
The festival is an annual event lasting a week or more in September.
St. Leonards Farm
A good local open farm with a fun barn for children, for an enjoyable family half day or more.
Visit the local Saltaire Brewery established in 2005 and is dedicated to the production of high quality, traditional English Ales.

Saltaire is a designated World Heritage Site. UNESCO stands for “The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization”. It exists to “encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity.”
